Friendship Tea

As a child, I remember my mom making this instant tea known to me as Russian Friendship tea. I had forgotten how delicious it was. The tea's origins are debated; some believe it began in Russia in the early 1800s, while others think it originated in America in the 1900s. I just remember it being quite popular in the 1970s. By the 1990s, I prepared it for my kids, but like many trends, it eventually faded away. This is one of those generational recipes that brings back memories of a simpler time.
I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
Ingredients
1 cup instant tea mix, unsweetened
1 3/4 cups instant lemonade mix
20 ounces Tang
1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1 1/2 teaspoons ground cloves

Instructions
Mix all ingredients together in a zip lock bag until blended uniformly.
Pour into glass jars, and seal tight.
To serve, mix 2-3 teaspoons of tea mix with boiling water, to taste. Be sure to leave room at the top of the mug to account for fizzing.
