Instant Hot Chocolate

It's clear that fall has arrived in Central Minnesota. Last night, the temperature plummeted by around 40 degrees in just a few hours. Given that it's October, cooler temperatures are to be expected. I'm fine with that, as it signals the perfect time to prepare some homemade hot chocolate.

Nothing beats sitting by a campfire or cozying up in your favorite pajamas with a warm blanket and a delicious cup of rich, homemade hot chocolate.

This is the recipe that I have been using for well over 30 years now, it's what our kids grew up having, and because it's a recipe from Grandma O, my husband grew up with it as well.

Ingredients:

1 1-pound container Nestle Quick (chocolate)

1 6-ounce jar of non-dairy powdered coffee creamer

This makes the perfect gift for a teacher or co-worker.

Package it individually and take it to work with you for that morning break, or afternoon pick-me-up.
