Macaroni & Cheese

My dad and my husband absolutely loved that boxed macaroni and cheese, but not me. That powder just doesn't cut it. It used to be fairly inexpensive, but now it's around $1.25 a box. I started making it from scratch quite a few years ago; it just tastes better. It's creamier, and I know what's in it.
It's really simple to make too. Here is my recipe for homemade macaroni and cheese.
Ingredients:
3/4 cup macaroni noodles
1/3 cup of milk
4 ounces Velveeta cheese
2 ounces cream cheese
1 tablespoon butter
1 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon salt

Directions:
Prepare the macaroni according to the instructions on the box. Once they are al dente, remove from the fire and drain the noodles, leaving approximately a tablespoon of water.
Keep the noodles in the same pan and place it back on the heat. Add the butter and stir until it melts. Incorporate the cream cheese and Velveeta, stirring until they are melted and well combined. Pour in the milk, stir, and then add the spices.
Continue cooking on low heat for another 5 minutes, or until some of the liquid is absorbed and the mixture reaches your desired creamy consistency.

Notes:
To reheat, add a little milk and warm in the microwave.
