Quick No-Rise Bagels

I adore bagels, in nearly every flavor. My top choice is the "Everything" bagel.
It's well-known that grocery store prices have increased, yet the quantity and quality haven't improved with these higher costs.
In July 2023, I paid $1.98 for 5 everything bagels, but today the same brand is priced at $2.43.
After calculating the cost of the Great Value plain Greek Yogurt, flour, baking powder, everything seasoning, and milk, I found that making this batch of 8 bagels cost me less than $2.00.

Ingredients
Bagels
2 cups all-purpose flour
3 teaspoons baking powder
1 1/2 cups Greek Yogurt
Toppings
1/4 cup milk
poppy seeds (optional)
Everything Bagel Seasoning (optional)

Instructions
Preheat the oven to 375°F and line the cookie sheet with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, mix the flour and baking powder, then add Greek yogurt until a dough ball begins to form.
If the mixture isn't cohesive, add additional Greek yogurt, 1/4 cup at a time, until the desired consistency is achieved.

Lightly flour your working surface and move the dough to the surface. Knead the dough by hand until the dough is smooth. You can sprinkle more flour on the dough if it is sticky.

Divide the dough into 8 equal balls. Using your thumb, poke a hole in the middle of each ball. Using your hand, flatten each dough ball slightly.

Place each bagel onto the cookie sheet. Brush the top of each bagel with milk and sprinkle
with your favorite seasonings.

Place the cookie sheet into the oven and bake for 20 minutes or until the bagels are golden brown.

Serve warm or let cool and store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
