Recently my daughter asked me to write some recipes for the "90s meals" that we had when she was a little girl. One of the requests she had was for "Taco Ring", which is a recipe that came from "Pampered Chef." It's a very simple concept, but a fun twist on the normal taco dinner.
Tools needed:
Pizza pan or stone
pizza cutter
fry pan
spoon

Ingredients:
1 pound of ground beef
1 package taco seasoning mix
1 can refrigerated crescent rolls
1 cup shredded cheese
Salsa, sour cream, lettuce, tomato and extra cheese for serving.
Directions:
Brown your ground beef and remove the excess fat (I blot with a paper towel). Sprinkle the taco seasoning mix onto the beef, stir to incorporate well, then add 3/4 cup water. Cook over medium heat until the liquid has been absorbed, approximately 10 minutes. Remove from the heat.

On a flat surface, open the crescent roll package and roll them out. Take the pizza cutter and slice them apart on the perforated lines.

On your pizza pan or stone, lay out the crescent rolls individually with the wide side towards the center of the pan and the "tail" towards the outside of the pan.

Sprinkle some cheese (with dried chives pictured) on the rolls.

Spoon the seasoned beef over the top, using all the beef. Sprinkle the remaining cheese over the meat, then fold the crescent roll tail over the meat.

Fold the "tail" over the top of the seasoned beef.

Bake at 375 °F for about 15 minutes or until it turns golden brown.
Serve hot with whatever "fixings" you want.
Enjoy!
