Immune Booster Roller Ball Blend

Updated: Sep 9

It's that time of year again, school is back in session, and kids are sick.

We all know little people are not the best at washing their hands, covering their mouths when they cough, or turning away when they sneeze, so it's to be expected that the germs are going to spread.

Even though the littles are usually the ones to get "it" first, we adults are not immune to the common cold either.

As a mom, or dad even, you probably don't have the option to "call in sick", take the day off, and just lie in bed trying to feel better.

Here is an essential oil rollerball recipe that may help your immune system fight off some of the icky stuff the kids can bring home.

Ingredients:

  • 10 mL roller bottle

  • 8-10 drops Frankincense essential oil

  • 8-10 drops Tea Tree (Melaleuca) essential oil

  • 5-7 drops Oregano essential oil

  • 5-7 drops Lemon essential oil

  • Carrier oil (e.g., fractionated coconut oil, jojoba oil, or sweet almond oil)

Instructions:

  1. Add the essential oils to the empty 10 mL roller bottle.

  2. Fill the rest of the bottle with your chosen carrier oil, leaving a small space at the top.

  3. Secure the roller ball top and cap, then gently shake to mix thoroughly.

  4. Apply to pulse points (wrists, neck, behind ears) or bottoms of feet 1-2 times daily, especially during cold and flu season.

Notes:

  • Always dilute essential oils to avoid skin irritation (aim for a 2-3% dilution, as in this recipe).

  • Patch test on a small area of skin first to ensure no sensitivity.

  • Avoid applying to broken skin or near eyes.

  • Consult a healthcare provider before use, especially for children, pregnant women, or those with medical conditions.

  • Use high-quality, pure essential oils for best results.
